The Straw Yard is a new creative and cultural space in Berwick-upon-Tweed. In 2024 Tortive Theatre was looking for a new home and now manages the site and uses the space as its rehearsal and development venue.

We were thrilled to be supported by the organisations opposite in getting the site ready for use and enabling us to open our doors to other groups and members of the public.

It is a small but unique and flexible space that hosts events, workshops, productions, and exhibitions throughout the year. It is available for hire and over the next couple of years we will be adding to the available facilities on site.
